The Toddler Montessori Guide is responsible for maintaining a high-quality learning environment and planning a variety of developmentally appropriate, hands-on, Montessori-based learning experiences for an assigned group of toddler students between the ages of 15 months and 3 years. Toddler Montessori Guides build strong relationships with families and co-workers, serving as role models not only within the classroom but for the whole school community.

Basic Qualifications: Excellent communication skills, curiosity, and eagerness to learn, clear understanding of child development, positive discipline, and Montessori philosophy; a true love of the outdoors, comfort with working outdoors in all types of weather, enthusiasm for nature and passion for high-quality early childhood education.
Education and Experience: Some college, Basic computer skills, Previous related experience

Detail oriented and quality conscious
Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather
Able to adapt to change, be flexible and learn new teaching strategies specific to our school and in keeping with current research findings

Must demonstrate a clear understanding of child development, specific to toddlers, and be able to provide concrete examples of developmentally appropriate learning opportunities and outcomes for this age group
Opportunity for part or full-time hours (25-40/wk), depending on need/preference
Office hours, sponsored Montessori teacher training, professional development coaching and teacher workdays provided
Paid time off (24 vacation days/year + paid sick leave)
Previous Montessori experience teacher is strongly preferred
Montessori training or willingness to undergo training within the first year of employment is required
Yoga, music, Spanish, animal care or gardening skills helpful
