***Serving children ages 3 months to 12 years***
We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic lead guide for a lower elementary classroom of children in grades 1-3. This role is supported by a robust team of other guides, directors, and mentors. As a member of this team we’d request you embrace the Montessori method of learning and intentionally support the academic, emotional, and personal growth of each student.
If you can…
Provide a Montessori Lower Elementary teaching certificate OR enroll in a training program by September 2024.
Have a bachelor's degree or be in the process of attaining one
Pass a background check and all other training requirements.
Maintain a safe, orderly, prepared and nurturing environment for children.
Observe and meet each child’s physical, emotional, developmental, and social needs.
Plan, create, and implement materials and lessons.
Work respectfully and collaboratively with team members such as assistants, other lead guides, and heads of school.
Supervise and guide students in the classroom, at recess, and during field trips
Competent in electronic record-keeping
Be an authentic and compassionate communicator who is willing to work towards building strong team, student and family partnerships
