Well established preschool in Eldon. Missouri is looking for a Director/Lead Teacher.
Responsibilities:
Montessori early childhood (ages 3-6) teacher certification preferred.
In addition to serving as the lead teacher in the classroom, as a state licensed facility, you would also serve as the Director of Eldon Montessori Society. You will be responsible for planning and implementing the curriculum in the classroom and insuring that the school is in compliance with Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education Childcare licensing rules. Eldon Montessori is a not for profit organization which is run by a board of directors. You will be the connection between the classroom and the board of directors. Eldon Montessori receives outstanding support from the parents and the community- it was established in 1975 by a group of parents who wanted what they believed was the best preschool education for their children.
Missouri Department Elementary and Secondary Education requirements for Director Position:
Must have either a minimum of:
1) 60 college credits with at least 12 child related credits OR
2) 24 months experience and at least 12 child related college credits
Additional Requirements:
3) Must pass a comprehensive background check
4) Must have or be willing to obtain CPR / First Aid certification
5) Must be on site at the facility a minimum of 40 hours per week
Salary Range $35,000-$40,000 annually.
