Presenter

Suzanne Tipton
AIM Elementary Professional Development Coordinator

In her 10-year classroom teaching career Suzanne has worked with children in kindergarten through 12th grade in both the U.S. and southeast Asia. In addition to her time as a Montessori lead teacher she has taught a variety of subjects including, singing, drama, math, science, and English as a second language. She discovered her passion for educating teachers while in Thailand serving as the lead trainer for TEFL in 2015.

Upon her return to the United States, she embarked upon her Montessori Elementary Certification (MACTE-accredited) and found her true passion. After leading her own Montessori Classroom in Kentucky for four years she joined AIM as a full-time teacher trainer.

At AIM she quickly realized her full-potential and became our Elementary Level Coordinator serving as the lead instructor and mentor to students in our Elementary Certification Programs. Suzanne has been sharing her Montessori knowledge by presenting at conferences in South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia and Massachusetts.

Presenting World Religions in the Elementary Classroom

In the Montessori elementary classroom, the study of world religions is an opportunity to cultivate understanding, respect, and a sense of interconnectedness among cultures. This presentation will explore how to introduce and explore world religions in a way that aligns with Montessori philosophy—through storytelling, hands-on experiences, and open-ended discussions that encourage curiosity and appreciation for diverse traditions.
